Founded upon a holistic philosophy, naturopathic
medicine combines safe and effective traditional therapies with the most
current advances in modern medicine. Naturopathic medicine is
appropriate for the management of a broad range of health conditions
affecting all people of all ages. From another perspective, there are
six main principles inherent in naturopathic practice:
Primum Non Nocere: First Do No Harm
Docere: Doctor As Teacher
Vis Medicatrix Naturae: The Healing Power of Nature
Treat the Whole Person
Tolle Causam: Identify and Treat the Causes
Prevention
Naturopathic physicians (N.D.) are the highest
trained practitioners in the broadest scope of naturopathic medical
modalities. In addition to the basic medical sciences and conventional
diagnostics, naturopathic education includes therapeutic nutrition,
botanical medicine, homeopathy, natural childbirth, classical Chinese
medicine, hydrotherapy, naturopathic manipulative therapy, pharmacology
and minor surgery.
The Center for Natural Medicine offers naturopathic
physicians who specialize in cardiovascular and pulmonary care, endocrine
dysfunction and women’s health in addition to treating a broad spectrum of other
health conditions. Many insurance plans provide naturopathic coverage. Our
reception team will assist you in verifying your insurance coverage. All of our
providers offer 15-minute free consultations as an opportunity for you to
discover how they are able to assist you in reaching better health. Also ask
