Dr. Milner received his N.D. in 1983 from NCNM in 1983.
He has remained at his alma mater for the past 20 years as Professor of
Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Milner is also the CEO and medical
director of the Center for Holistic Medicine (1983-1991) and Center for Natural
Medicine (CNM), Inc. (1991-present). Established in 1991, CNM is the first and
one of the largest ongoing, integrated healthcare facilities in the Northwest.
The Heart and Lung Wellness program is the newest addition in Dr. Milner’s
professional life, linking his identities as professor and doctor. This exciting
program is in its seventh year providing a clinical training ground for 14-24
fourth year naturopathic medical student interns and resident doctors,
supervised by Dr. Milner. This experience engages medical students and patients
in collaborative, complimentary and alternative health care of cardiovascular,
pulmonary disease and primary care conditions. In this capacity CNM functions
as a teaching clinic of NCNM.
Dr. Milner has treated over 20,000 patients with heart
disease alone over the course of his 23 years of practice as a physician. He is
world renown for his natural treatment protocols for heart disease, menopause
and hypothyroidism. 30% of his patients come from around the country outside of
Oregon to seek his expertise. He has many international patients coming for
treatment from the far reaches of the globe including Germany, England and
Western Europe, Japan, Pakistan, India, Africa, Australia and South America.
Dr. Milner is well published with texts, medical journal
articles and studies in endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, and
environmental medicine. Dr. Milner published in May 2005, Menopause

Dr. Milner has published several articles on new treatment
protocols for hypothyroidism. Most recently, “
Hypothyroidism: Optimizing Medication with Slow-Release Compounded Thyroid
Replacement” was
published in the peer review journal of compounding pharmacists,
International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding (IJPC) Vol. 9 No. 4
July/August 2005. He is currently lecturing around the United States
guiding physicians and compounding pharmacists in the management of
hypothyroidism using his protocol of slow released compounded thyroid
replacement. Also to his credit are “Wilson’s Syndrome and T3 therapy – A
Clinical Guide to Safe and Effective Patient Management” IJPC Vol. 3 No.

Dr. Milner co-authored chapter 14 in An Alternative
Medicine Definitive Guide to Cancer by J. Diamond and W.L. Cowden, the most
definitive text on alternative cancer therapies. He also served as the primary
consulting physician for Judith Sach’s book Natural Medicine for Heart
Disease.
Dr. Milner has been the medical advisor for the Health
Sciences Institute (H.S.I.) and its publications since 1996. H.S.I.’s monthly
newsletter circulates to approximately 100,000 subscribers around the world
introducing cutting edge, breakthrough and well research nutraceuticals to the
readership. He has delivered a compelling presentation titled “ADDSOIL- 7 Keys
to Optimal Health” available as a self help resource guide with companion audio

Dr. Milner has offered his expertise to many supplement
companies in the design and development of dietary supplements and homeopathic
medications for the treatment of a wide range of conditions including allergies
and heart disease. His feature article “Natto and Its Active Ingredient
Nattokinase.” Alternative and Complementary Therapies (June 2002)
introduced the use of Nattokinase into the United States. He is currently
completing the design and development of a cutting edge product for
cardiovascular health, CardioGOLD, Arista Nutraceuticals, to be released in
2007. The product is marketed through a thirty minute infomercial where Dr.
Milner is interviewed as the featured speaker.
Dr. Milner is a dynamic speaker with a bachelors and
masters degree in education from the University of Rhode Island. He brings a
fresh and enjoyable approach to his lectures using the latest in computerized
technology. He has lectured extensively for over 20 years nationally and
internationally, to physicians groups and public audiences alike.
