Kelly Barrett, D.C.
Chiropractic Physician
drbarrett@cnm-inc.com

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest patients in the care of the human form, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease” - Thomas Edison

Kelly Barrett is a chiropractic physician and a dietitian. She believes in natural methods of health care that treat the cause of physical problems rather than the symptoms. Her approach to wellness recognizes the integration of the whole person in order to pursue optimum health.

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science in dietetics from Purdue University in 1992. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Minnesota, then in the Core Research Lab at Oregon Health Sciences University. She went on to pursue her chiropractic studies at Western States Chiropractic College and graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1998. Shortly thereafter, she earned her certification in spinal trauma by the San Diego Spine Institute. Since graduating, Kelly has practiced in Portland, specializing in cervical acceleration deceleration trauma (whiplash). In addition, she has taught diagnostics, clinical skills and reasoning, and patient management to third year students at Western States Chiropractic College.

Dr. Barrett focuses her practice on the following:

  • Whiplash
  • Neck Pain
  • Back Pain
  • Headaches
  • TMJ (Jaw) Pain
  • Rehabilitation
  • Weight Management
  • Nutritional and Exercise Counseling
  • Food Allergies
  • Many insurance plans cover chiropractic, which the clinic is happy to bill. We also bill auto insurance (if you have been injured in a car accident) and workers’ compensation insurance (if you have been injured on the job). Consultations are free of charge.

    Kelly's treatment hours are:

    Monday-Friday 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
    Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

    Cindy Anderson, L.Ac., M.Ac.O.M.
    Licensed Acupuncturist
    canderson@cnm-inc.com

Acupuncture is a gentle, safe and effective form of healthcare. There are many diverse health issues that acupuncture can help, such as musculo-skeletal pain disorders (low back, shoulder, elbow, knee, neck pain, etc), headache/migraine, arthritis, injury rehabilitation, pain management, degenerative spine/disc disease, depression, stress reduction, gynecological complaints (PMS, menopause, infertility, etc.), constipation, allergies, stop smoking, Bells Palsy, TMJ, ….the list is endless. Though best known for treating painful conditions, acupuncture is highly effective in treating many health issues faced by people everyday.

I have had the honor and privilege of treating hundreds of patients since I began practice in 1994. I am state licensed, have my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and am nationally board certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture. I am also an active member of the Chinese medicine teaching faculty at a top rated Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine college. Additionally, I have been an acupuncture provider for a large NIH and Kaiser research project on TMJ disorders.

I look forward to every day I get to work with people and see their lives improved through this amazing form of medicine. I love helping people feel better, life is so much nicer when you feel good and can do the things you enjoy. Acupuncture helped me immensely after I was badly injured in a car accident, and I believe it can help you too.

If you are wondering what an acupuncture treatment is like or if it may help you, feel free to give me a call and we’ll discuss your condition or concerns. Acupuncture is gentle, relaxing and most important of all, it works!!!
